On February 18^th 2019 the European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma) agreed to renew for a further three-months period - from April 2^nd 2019 - the ban on the marketing, distribution or sale of binary options to retail customers. This ban has been in force since July 2^nd, 2018 and it has been already renewed twice: on October 2^nd, 2018 and January 2^nd, 2019, always for a for three-months periods. The decision taken by Esma is in order to guarantee an adequate protection to retail investors. (See "Consob Informa" No. 37/2018 and No. 42/2018).
