November Edufin: work begins on the ninth edition of Financial Education Month

Applications to take part in the initiative will open on 7 September. From 1 to 30 November, hundreds of in-person and online events will be held throughout Italy.

Rome, 27 July 2026 – Applications for Financial Education Month will open on 7 September. The initiative is promoted by the Committee for the planning and coordination of financial education activities (Edufin Committee) and will take place from 1 to 30 November 2026.

Associations, institutions, businesses, schools, public administrations and all organisations interested in taking part in the initiative will be able to submit their financial, insurance and pension education initiatives from 7 September to 16 October 2026, using the form that will be available in the section of the Committee’s website (www.comitatoeducazionefinanziaria.gov.it) dedicated to Financial Education Month. The initiatives must comply with the Guidelines for participation in Financial Education Month, available on the Committee’s website

The guiding message of this ninth edition is “Financial education: today for your tomorrow” and highlights the importance of acquiring knowledge and tools to make informed decisions, protect oneself and plan one’s future with greater confidence.

The main events of the ninth edition of Financial Education Month

During the month, a number of particularly significant events are planned, including:

• Financial Legality Day, in Siena, promoted by the Edufin Committee and the Guardia di Finanza to foster the dissemination of a culture of legality, with particular attention to younger people;
• Insurance and Pension Education Day, on 5 November in Rome, jointly promoted by IVASS and COVIP to raise awareness of the importance of insurance and pension education for the future resilience of individuals and families.

Pension Education Week will instead take place from 23 to 29 November.

The full programme of the initiative, which will be published at the end of October on the Committee’s website, will offer a wide range of seminars, workshops, webinars, public information meetings, performances and educational activities organised throughout the country. During November, anyone will be able to register for free in-person and online events dedicated to developing skills for the more informed management of personal and household financial resources.

As with the 2025 edition, the events will be identified by an official Edufin Committee logo, in different colours to make them easier to consult: blue for initiatives of a general nature; pink for activities mainly aimed at women; green for topics related to sustainability; yellow for initiatives promoted by universities and scientific institutions; and purple for content dedicated to technological and financial innovation.

The traditional link between the initiative and World Investor Week – WIW (www.worldinvestorweek.org), from 5 to 11 October, promoted by IOSCO and coordinated in Italy by Consob, is confirmed. Initiatives meeting the relevant requirements may receive dual recognition and be included both in the programme of the tenth edition of WIW and in that of Financial Education Month.
