Argo Trust Limited

The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has issued a warning following reports of Italian investors being invited to accept offers by Argo Trust Limited with registered office in Malta. It further warned that there has never been, nor is there now, any company named Argo Trust Limited (or Argotrust Limited or Argostrust Limited) with registered office in Malta, and that the offers in question have never been authorized under Maltese law. Finally, the MFSA warned that the names and addresses of members of the Maltese professions were being used in dealings with potential investors, without their authorization.

In Resolution 14217 of 3 September 2003, Consob annulled the operation consisting in the public offer by Dreamfarm SA for the exchange of shares of Attika Group plc for shares of Investa plc, deposited at Argo Trust Limited (see Consob Informs 34/2003). Earlier in Resolution 14122 of 4 June 2003 Consob had annulled an analogous public offer by Dreamfarm for the exchange of shares of Attika Group plc for shares of Euro Sviluppo s.p.a.
