Union Forex and Makai: public offering prohibited

By resolution of 19 January 2011 and pursuant to art. 99, subsection 1, paragraph b) of the Consolidated Law on Finance, Consob has prohibited the public offering of stockbroker mandates for the "forex" market by Makai ag sa and Union Forex spa due to alleged infringement of art. 94 of said law.

The offering had previously been subject to a 90-day suspension under Resolution no. 17539 of 25 October 2010 (see "Consob Informs" no. 43/2010).
