Website https://euromts.uk (improper use of the acronym and logo of Consob and ESMA)

As part of the fight against abusive financial services, the National Commission for Companies and the Stock Exchange (Consob) detected that unidentified subjects also operating through the website https://euromts.uk, through which investment services and activities have been offered and carried out without the necessary authorizations, have improperly used the acronym and logo of Consob and of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) in the promotional or contractual documentation submitted to potential customers.

Consob ordered to terminate the operations carried out through the site https://euromts.uk (see Consob resolution no. 22004 of 15 September 2021) and ordered to blackout the same website https://euromts.uk.

Consob warns savers that the unauthorized use of names, acronyms, distinctive signs and logos of Consob, other supervisory Authorities or authorized financial operators, in the context of websites offering investments, or in the related promotional/contractual documentation, could conceal deceptive operations aimed at misleading savers as to the real identity of the proponents and the existence of supposed “licenses” or “authorizations” issued to them by Consob or other sector Authorities.

Considering that such initiatives could be aimed at appropriating money which could be contributed by savers, Consob draws the attention of the public to the importance of consulting the lists of investment firms actually authorized to operate in Italy (https://www.consob.it/web/area-pubblica/imprese-di-investimento1) as well as to communications for the protection of savers (https://www.consob.it/web/area-pubblica/avvisi-ai-risparmiatori) and, in any case, to exercise the utmost caution before making investment choices.
