Re: Banca Carige S.p.A. rights issue

On Monday 16 June 2014 the rights issue by Banca CARIGE S.p.A. ("CARIGE") begins.

This right issue is part of the so-called diluitive operations, i.e. operations which have a K factor lower than 0.5.

As in similar case – see Consob Communication no. DME/0047343 of 6 June 2014 – this implies the risk of price anomalies during the subscription period of the new shares.

Taking into account the above considerations, Consob will monitor, as usual, the trading activities on CARIGE shares (ISIN code IT0003211601) during the subscription period. It is therefore recommended that investors and market participants comply with the rules ensuring market integrity.
