With reference to rumours appearing in today's press concerning alleged supervisory interventions by Consob on Tim, we would like to clarify that the Authority has been monitoring for some time and with the utmost attention the complex events related to Tim as part of an ordinary activity, usually carried out on companies listed on the stock exchange. 

The inspections are aimed at ascertaining compliance with current corporate governance regulations and have no bearing on the professionalism and experience of Professor Luciano Carta.
