Financial education

Testo di esempio

Financial education is an essential tool for helping citizens understand how financial markets work, assess risks and opportunities, and make more informed decisions about saving and investing.

Strengthening financial skills contributes to more effective investor protection and greater confidence in the financial system as a whole.

The role of Consob

Consob promotes and supports financial education initiatives aimed at improving public understanding of financial products and services, increasing awareness of investment risks and encouraging informed and responsible financial behaviour.

These activities are addressed to a wide range of audiences - including citizens, students, teachers and information professionals - and are also developed through cooperation with institutions, research organisations and associations.

Financial education resources and initiatives

The financial education section brings together projects, educational resources, information materials, publications and events promoted or supported by Consob.

National coordination

The Edufin Committee

Consob participates in the activities of the Committee for the Planning and Coordination of Financial Education Activities (Edufin Committee), the national body responsible for promoting and coordinating financial, insurance and pension education initiatives in Italy.

The Committee works to improve citizens' financial literacy and to encourage greater awareness in financial decision-making throughout all stages of life.

International initiatives and cooperation

Financial education is a priority not only at the national level, but also across Europe and internationally.

Consob contributes to initiatives and projects developed in supranational contexts, working together with other supervisory authorities and international organisations to promote the dissemination of good practices and strengthen financial literacy and investor resilience.
