In this section, Consob publishes warnings and notices concerning abusive financial initiatives, unauthorised entities and conduct that may be harmful to investors.

The purpose of these warnings is to provide timely information, help investors recognise risks and encourage more informed investment decisions.

What are investor warnings for?

Investor Warnings collect communications issued by:
  • Consob
  • other national and foreign supervisory authorities;
  • international supervisory organisations.

Related to:
  • ​​​unauthorised investment offers;
  • improper use of names, logos or institutional references;
  • abusive online platforms and websites;
  • initiatives presenting elevated risks or other warning signs.

Read the most recent notices addressed to investors, including information on the reported entities and the initiatives under scrutiny.
Search the warnings archive
To check whether an entity, platform or initiative has already been reported, use the archive search function and browse the warnings by period or keyword.
International warnings
Access the international database containing warnings issued by supervisory authorities on unauthorised operators and offers in different countries.

Before investing

Before responding to an investment proposal:

  • always verify that the entity is authorised to operate;
  • be wary of unusually high or guaranteed returns;
  • pay attention to undue pressure or unsolicited contacts.
