This page contains the list of SMEs within the meaning of art. 1 w-quater.1) of the Consolidated Law on Finance.

The list includes only companies with registered office in Italy with (at least) ordinary shares admitted to trading on EURONEXT MILAN (formerly MTA). Therefore, foreign companies listed on the same market and Italian companies with only listed savings shares are excluded from the list.

With reference to the process of publishing and updating the list, it should be noted that the acquisition of the status of "SME" derives from not exceeding the threshold relating to capitalization (500 million euros) in at least one of the years of the three-year period examined (2020, 2021 and 2022).

For the loss of "SME" qualification, the capitalization requirement must be exceeded for three consecutive years.

The list no longer contains the companies that had been included in previous years on the basis of the transitional provisions referred to in paragraph 2 of art. 44-bis of Legislative Decree no. 76 of 16.7.2020, coordinated with the conversion law n. 120 of 11.9.2020, which established that: "2. Issuers who on the date of entry into force of the law converting this decree [15.9.2020] qualify as SMEs based solely on the turnover criterion continue to maintain this qualification for two years following the current one" and which, therefore, were SMEs - in the three-year period 2020, 2021 and 2022 - based on the application of the previous turnover requirement.

The list is published for informational purposes. The responsibility of the issuers for the verifications aimed at the qualification of PMI remains unchanged, according to what is indicated in the paragraph 2 of the art. 2-ter of the Issuers Regulation.
